what data we process and why

Enquiries and contact. If you contact us by email, WhatsApp or phone, we process the data you provide (name, contact details, company, project information) to reply and, where applicable, prepare a quotation. Legal basis: your consent and pre-contractual measures.

Clients and suppliers. If we work together, we process the data needed to manage the commission, invoicing and accounting. Legal basis: performance of the contract and compliance with legal obligations.

Newsletter (“get the notebook”). If you subscribe, we use your email to send you, at most once a month, new notebook entries and Bala news. Subscription is confirmed by a verification email (double opt-in) and you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email. Legal basis: your consent.

how long we keep it

Contact data, for as long as the conversation lasts and up to one year afterwards if there is no business relationship; client data, for the periods required by tax and commercial law; newsletter data, until you unsubscribe.

who else has access

We do not share data with third parties unless legally required. To provide the service we use processors: the web hosting provider, MailPoet (Automattic Inc.) to manage and send the newsletter and, if you choose to message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta). Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, always with appropriate safeguards (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses). The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google.

your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to ray@balamaterialstudio.com, and withdraw your consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
